In Sudan ,,, SuNTA (Sudan national Telecentre academy) is working in a very difficult situation where ICT is not part of the culture and not a priority but we succeeded in achieving many of our objectives…. 1- We receive 2500 meter square space to build our academy 2- We receive 460 square meters a prefabricated building from our partner (NTC) for our academy and it will be opened in the next month during the UN-ESCWA forum with GDCO & SuNTA. 3- We receive 460 square meters a prefabricated building to establish the telemedicine unit to treat sick people over the internet,, to train the medical staff and medical student of Gedaref university. 4- In partnership with the ministry of agriculture within the partnership,, 30 agricultural engineers geographical information system (GIS) and global positioning system (GPS).. 5- In partnership with the ministry of education we trained 30 teachers out of 120 teachers as trainers to operate and mange Telecentres constructed by NTC in rural area… (One teacher from each school) 6- We trained more than 150 unemployed graduate students in partnership with the graduate supporting fund to help them be employed… 7- We established a Telecentre in Gedaref university community college for women training 8- We developed an Arabic curriculum (syllabus).. 9- In partnership with the ministry of health we trained 30 of its staff SPSS... 10- we trained 20 governmental staff the basic of web design |

Gedaref digital city organization (GDCO) is NGO (Gedaref Sudan). GDCO is the founder of the first national Telecentre academy in Africa and the 13th in the world (Sudan national Telecentre academy SuNTA).... digital city of eindhoven DSE donated 750 computers to GDCO and more than ten community development projects were established . GDCO is the winner of i4d award e-India 2007 ,,, also the winner of i4d 2008 awards for the best innovations at the grassroots Telecentre ,The winner of i4d 2009 awards for civil societies initiatives for development,,,, GDCO has 4 internet websites in Arabic,,, Dutch, English and the fourth is in UN-ESCWA,,, also it Has more than150 links and blogs and 500 pictures
The concept of NGOs as a receptive organization for donation is completely changed and they become partners in development and the big PPP (public, private partnership) become true,,, The main feature of these partnerships is sharing knowledge, experiences and best practices, which help in saving money and time,,, The digital city of Eindhoven donated 750 computers to GDCO in last year’s and more than ten projects in cooperation with the Government Gedaref and civil society organizations working in the field of technology were established
